Nintendogs for Nintendo DS

I seen it in stores and its soooo cute! But I don't have a DS just an Advance.
Have anyone played it before? Because I am relly tempted to get it as I always wanted a dog but ymy mom is so afraid of them that she refused to let it in the house.

I have GameBoy pocket and i preayed my mother to get it, but i don't play anymore(this was years ago)!
Why don't you bouy a console for TV, i think it's better, maybe Nintendo Cube
