I had a problem were IE would not reclaim itself as the default browser after allowing Mozilla to become default.. http://0a.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif
So here is what to do!
Run regedit by clicking your Start button then selecting Run...
type in regedit and click ok.
Look In:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Classes/HTTP/shell/open/command
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Classes/https/shell/open/command
Then doubleclick the (Default) and change it to:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %1
(If you are looking to set IE to default, or replace the .exe path with the path to the program you wish to be your default web browser.! http://0a.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Another way is to:
1. Open an instance of Internet Explorer
2. Select the Tools menu, then Internet Options
3. Click the Programs tab
4. Tick the box next to " Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser "
Note: If this does not work for you, click the Reset Web Settings button instead.
