What exactly abilities does PS2 have?

I watched TV and saw a PS2 very small you can take with you in atrip, something like GameBoy, should i prefer it if buying or the new Gameboy?

Of course the PS2, I saw it in ahsop it is amazing, much better from the new GameBoy
